2011 Surface Water Quality Study the City of Minnetonka

This 2011 Surface Water Quality Study (Study) was commissioned by the City of Minnetonka (City) as part of its continuing effort to monitor and manage the water quality of the water resources within its jurisdiction. Barr Engineering Company (Barr) conducted the Study. The Study follows up on five earlier studies (1993 Surface Water Quality Study, Barr 1994; 1999 Surface Water Quality Study, Barr 2000a; and 2002 Surface Water Quality Study, Barr 2003; 2005 Surface Water Quality Study, Barr 2006; 2008 Surface Water Quality Study, Barr 2009) that detail earlier the previous efforts by the City to assess water quality in its lakes, wetlands, and streams. This report summarizes the water quality results for the monitoring conducted from 2009 through 2011. The water quality monitoring work is being done in accordance with the guidelines set forth in the City’s 1999 Water Resources Management Plan (1999 WRMP; Barr 1999a) and the updated 2010 Water Resources Management Plan (2010 WRMP, Barr 2010a).
