The Cover Crops, Water, and Nitrogen Nexus: How Do They Impact Corn and Soybean Production and the Environment?

A study on cover crops in corn (Zea mays L.)-soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] rotation practices was conducted during four years at different locations throughout the state. Our approach consisted on a combination of field experiments and modeling. Our goal was to assess cover crop potential to increase stability, improve resource use efficiency, and minimize negative impacts to the environment.
