Description
The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, in cooperation with other state water management agencies, the Metropolitan Council, and the University of Minnesota, has developed recommendations for improving Minnesota's system of water governance. The project was organized and managed through the MPCA Commissioner's Office, with participation and assistance from the state agencies with primary responsibilities for water management. A work group composed of agency managers and senior staff held a series of meetings between June and October of 2012 to develop and test alternative governance models and problemsolving strategies.
