Comprehensive Water Quality Assessment of Select Metropolitan Area Streams VALLEY CREEK

Document
Description
The Comprehensive Water Quality Assessment of Select Metropolitan Area Streams is a major study conducted by the Metropolitan Council that examines the water quality of 21 streams or stream segments that discharge into the metropolitan area's major rivers. The study provides a base of technical information that can support sound decisions about water resources in the metro area − decisions by the Council, state agencies, watershed districts, conservation districts, and county and city governments. This section of the report, Valley Creek, is one in a series produced as part of the Comprehensive Water Quality Assessment of Select Metropolitan Area Streams. Located entirely in Washington County, Valley Creek is one of the four St. Croix River tributaries examined. This section discusses a wide range of factors that have affected the condition and water quality of Valley Creek.
