Description
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Great Lakes National Program Office (GLNPO) has funded a project by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) to develop a geographic information system (GIS)-based contaminated sediment database for the St. Louis River Area of Concern (AOC). In order to ensure that a high quality database is assembled, it is essential that quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) steps be adhered to while developing and populating the database. This document provides the Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP) which will be followed during this project. As part of the QAPP, a detailed work plan for this project is given in Section B. The MPCA Principal Investigator will have overall responsibility for all phases of this project. The various quality assurance and management responsibilities of key project personnel are defined in the following section.
