Dora Lake 31-0882-00 Lake Water Quality

Dora Lake is located 16 miles southeast of Northome, MN in Itasca County. It is a long lake covering 429 acres (Table 1). Dora is a riverine system with inlets from the Bowstring and Popple Rivers and an outlet to the Big Fork River. Water quality data have been collected on Dora Lake since 1981 (Tables 2 & 3). These data show that the lake is eutrophic (TSI = 52) with moderately clear water conditions most of the summer.
