Role of Depressions and Wetlands on Water Retention and Surface Flows in Blue Earth County, Minnesota

We've successfully identified the historic maximum retention capacity of the Greater Blue Earth River Basin (GBERB) within Blue Earth County. In addition, we added a component to the analysis that identifies the minimum amount of retention capacity that had been lost by 1938. These preliminary results are summarized in Part 2 and support our original hypothesis that the majority of the GBERB is flat and has little capacity to retain water.
