Testing the Origin of Agricultural N Sources

Document
Description
Conventional farming N sources, such as urea and ESN (slow-release nitrogen) are mainly from chemical N fertilizer, while soil organic matter is from plant residues, manures, and composts. Moreover, if mineralized N from diverse N sources is leached in the ground water, it may be impossible to determine whether dissolved N in the ground water or surface water is from soil N or from chemical N fertilizer.
